My concern over the declining use of the Arabic script led me to a deep appreciation for Square Kufic calligraphy, an art form I connected with for its beautiful blend of meticulous craftsmanship and powerful communication. Determined to help keep this unique tradition from becoming a lost art or another dead media object, I immersed myself in its history and techniques.
